Listen as Pastor Rick "builds" on the Nehemiah Series with more "building" ideas. We begin the series with this one, about building a relationship with God.
"We
know that we need a strong Christian experience as individuals, but how do we
do that? We know that we need strong
Christian homes, but how do we build them?
We know that we need strong marriages, strong parent-children
relationships, and strong churches, but how do we build them. This new series focuses a little more on the
details."
"The English word “listen” only appears once in the King James Bible in Isaiah 49:1. But the Hebrew word from which it is translated, shama, occurs 1072 times in the Old Testament. A similar word is the Hebrew word, qashab, which occurs 45 times in the Old Testament. So over 1,117 times hearing or listening is mentioned in the Old Testament. In the New Testament the Greek word akouo, which means to hear or understand, is used 402 times. So over 1500 times in this book, the idea of hearing or listening is mentioned. That’s a lot!"
Pastor Rick reminds us what it means to be a Christian in the context of Christ and Eternal Hope not the Earthly Hope of politicians! This culturally relevant message will encourage your heart.
